Living Fearlessly Through Love
Fearlessness is more than overcoming physical limitations, pushing through levels of self-doubt. It is living unabashedly and in alignment with your truth. Our hesitation can be a call to action. Why do we think twice about our decisions? The mind wants to feel important, needed, necessary. So it tricks us into believing that we must 'check-in' with it first before we act. However, when we do this, all we are doing is validating our ego and strengthening it's power over us.
Now I'm not saying we should never think about things before coming to a decision, but rather witnessing our decision-making from a purely observational point of view. When we become the master of our thoughts, we can transcend them. Rather than letting our emotions run rampant, and our thoughts to consume us, we can see why we are having them. Sitting with your thoughts before making a big decision is an important step in taking charge of ourselves.
Self-doubt is merely a byproduct of our thinking. Conditioned by mistakes we have made in the past, it can be so easy to slip into a fear-state. After all, we want to learn from our mistakes rather than repeat them, right?
It comes down to the difference between fear and love. This is the choice that we have. We can love ourselves, forgive past mistakes, and stop beating ourselves up. If we never make any mistakes, there is no room for growth, and what's the fun in that?
We have the choice to be in a state of fear, or a state of love.
Today I will grow from my mistakes, rather than fearing them. I will remind myself that it's okay to fail, and I am only doing the best I can in any given situation. When I notice fears arising, I will do my best to observe them, and rewire my old thought patterns. I will act consciously and from a place of love.
